Good times on that. El Alamein is probably my favourite BF map of all time, along with Shuhia Taiba on 2142. Did you ever try out Desert Combat too? Not sure if you're aware, but if you have an Origin account with EA, you can download the original Battlefield 1942, free of charge. I haven't...

I get the occasional texture issue on that map on the PC too. Roofs and walls appearing and disappearing in rapid succession - lol. D.

Flying in low over the ground on El Alamein? ;) The neat part about that is if you blitzed past, you'd only get a few additional rounds of ammo. You either had to crawl by like a sitting duck to fully rearm or physically land. It worked. D.

Sorry - I should have said that on the older BF games, it wasn't just your base that you could only resupply from from, but there were several caches of ammo spread across the map. Although a weapons cache may only be 400-500 metres away, it forces you to disengage and resupply. The worst...

No reflection on your skill m8 - but that clip just highlights the mistake EA/DICE made in having unlimited ammo on vehicles. For over three minutes, you're raping and pillaging pretty much all before you. You could argue that the lack of skill on the opposition hasn't been able to bring you...

It's Commander Mode - which is used in a lot of online game types. You need to be Rank 10 or higher in order to apply for the Commander's position though. D.

Nope. Well, we got nowhere near that by the end anyway. I think we finished the game at around lvl 26 each. Never even came across one of the set pieces of equipment - which are coloured green, from what I believe? In fact, we only got a few orange ones, tbh. D.

One of the few games that my girlfriend would actually play - lol. We completed it in co-op just on Normal difficulty, but have actually thought about restarting it with different character classes on a harder difficulty. A good game - definitely suits the console platform in co-op too. D.

Anyone has the moonwalking tank yet? On a slight slope - and sometimes even a flat surface - the tank will slide in one direction. Weird when it happens - often enough where you have to compensate on long range shots. D.

Funny you should mention that. I had another quick dabble on the Test Range last night and while in air with any of the choppers, the surface of the island itself was a solid, one tone beach colour - no texture at all. I had to come into a very low hover, before I started seeing surface textures...
