Would be a good idea m8. But I guess the devs are scratching their heads now and really struggling for ideas.
I love the COD campaigns and detest MP. Yet most people seem to be the opposite. I love the vehicle side of the BF series and the expansive maps. But most COD maps feel like they are in...
Lol - the GOL was the one of choice! I was pretty hopeless at all the sniping in the BF games - BF2 in particular. But I've been trying with that standard MK11 MOD0 semi-sniper rifle and I'm finding it pretty damn good. It doesn't have the power (I'm assuming) that the heavier calibre snipers...
Sorted my PC crashes out by simply going back to the previous nVidia WHQL driver from early October, iirc?
Restarted the PC and tried it. It's not crashed once since. I'm amazed it was something so simple - I haven't had to rollback a graphics driver in goddamn years! ;)

The cambelt would be a definite - especially given the fact that they are MUCH easier to replace on a 1.2 than an RS Clio. Also, like you say, you have no real history on the car.
Spark plugs would be another definite for me (as sbridgey says) and also get that gearbox oil changed.
As for the...
That - and a few others m8!
It's crashed each of the 5 times that I've launched - sometimes immediately, other times about 10mins in. Only once has the DX crash error been the same. The remaining were all other DX issues!

I agree. It's a small omission (at the minute) - but by christ, does that Atom need shading under the wheels. From the cockpit view - it just looks silly. And then come the exhaust flames...... :dead:

Got a little further in the campaign running it in 32-bit (for which I have to applaud DICE (bizarrely) - well done for a mainstream dev to be pushing 64-bit versions!) - but it still bombs out with DX11 problems.
The DX error actually relates to a belief that the PC thinks the graphics card...
Crashed twice in the campaign with different DirectX errors. Can't be arsed trying to rectify the issue - probably just wait for a few weeks until they get their act together.
I honestly cannot remember a game crashing since they released the appropriately named 'Rage' a few years ago - where...

I've likened it to the Peter Crouch robot movement when trying to aim with a pad in an FPS. It's just so alien and inaccurate. You have to ask yourself why the vast majority of console FPSs have the option of aim assist/auto aim? They don't add that 'feature' for fun. Its simply due to the...
That makes sense m8. I only know of a very small group of people who use high-end cards and all have been nVidia users. I guess you end up using whatever the industry has in common place - especially if you're sending files to CAD/rendering staff in other businesses?
D.
Interesting. Apart from Josh's mention of them, no one else has commented on the ATi FIRE cards. Are they that out-gunned by the Quadros in terms of performance? Or is it just that the nVidia offerings are more common-place in industry now?

Lol - I don't even get past the POST screen on my i7 965 running at 4Ghz on the air setup. Dropped it to 3.6Ghz and it's happy with that all day long....
D.
A shame that. The 64-player maps on BF2142 were so big, that essentially there were several mini-battles going on all over the map. On smaller maps like you say - 64 players is just a messy, chaotic, experience.

This is the problem with all games like this and unfortunately, I can't see it ever changing. :(
There's so much going on both in the game and at the server level - that invariably it fails and crashes in the early days. Some players put up with it, I for one don't. That means by the time its...
Been having a quick flick through the Prima e-guide that I got for pre-ordering. Looks good, but they are clearly holding back to provide more content in the DLC stakes.

No m8 - getting dropped off at Bristol Parkway on the return journey home. I was on the opposite side in my m8's Merc C200 estate - certainly nothing that would have stood out anyway! :)

Although my perfect pay-per-view TV fantasy would involve a TT, driven by James Corden and Ricky Gervais as a passenger - hurtling 100mph into a burning inferno wall of spikes.... that was an interesting article to read.
I 'sense' that the Audi powers-at-be already had the first fleeting ideas...
MSI are actually a motherboard manufacturer (the main part that most components plug into) - along with other like Asus, Gigabyte, etc. i3 processors are perfectly capable for entry level needs - in fact that maybe a good choice. But i5's are the mainstream CPU of choice and you might end up not...
Pretty much what Steve said above. I had the full side blended in, which actually covered several imperfections.....

Really chuffed with the end result, but I was fuming at the time for the unnecessary expense and time...

Needs zero config - you'll be up and running in 30secs. Plus powerline adapters have come down massively in price this year. They used to be quite expensive for 200mbps speeds and above - but not anymore. :)
