i had the same problem and unfortunatly it is a bit of an arse and you will need new clips. its simple but very fiddly and you just have to percivere.

go on a site like confussed.com and find the cheapest company. Dont have all companys on there but it will give you a fair idea. and yes, insurance is ridiculous for young males :(

i think its a bit unfair targetting non rs owners. i know the other day i had a proper penis in a silver 182 try to race me at traffic lights. of cause i didnt respond, and he came flying past whilst sticking his fingers up..... fortunatly there was a speed camera a bit further down the road...
^ the carbon inserts are actual carbon fibre mat properly resined, sanded and laquered although i really wouldnt recommend anyone to do this as its a proper arse
you can use the 'sticky backed' carbon fibre which gives the effect and is easy to work with, or you can use genuine carbon which is much harder to work with, but gives you the satisfaction of knowing it the real deal.
i know of a supplier whose cheap and supplies the sticky backed carbon...
my mate is young male insured with tesco. rung up to insure a K&N and a magnex and they asked if it made more than 10% performance gain. he said no, and got no charge.
theres nowhere good to mount it! its tight to squeeze it down there in the first place, and there isnt anywhere appropriate to mount it, and in doing that you've still got the problem of metre of inlet length added on to the ridiculous renault inlet. as far as im concerned thats the best...
they'll look even better with the decals ;)
finally starting to get em clean now, its taken many hours to get rid of the engrained brake dust and discolouring!
its got a sports cat and stealth system and a lot of miles ;)
got rolline roaded at 85 bhp, which is an extra ten on standard, not sure how reliable that is though lol
