9/10
I've tried a couple of other cars and the 182 suits my use so well. I dont need faster/bigger/comfier. Its fairly cheap to run, easy enough for an idiot like me to work on, and fun to drive.
Re: Harphamominom's Ph1 Project
I'd risk it to micks too tbh.
If you do get breakdown, a lot of policies require you to wait 24/48 hours before claiming, so get it sorted ASAP. Chris knott do a good breakdown deal.
Re: Harphamominom's Ph1 Project
Shame Chris just sold his...
Erm, you could break the car so they have to recover it I suppose. Mick must be able to tell you a sensor to remove or something that the recovery guy wont work out? Or cut the throttle cable so it's too short to frig. Obviously this...
Re: Harphamominom's Ph1 Project
Looks surprisingly tidy!
Not sure on your breakdown trick though...I think your car may actually have to have broken down...
Ridiculous that some insurance companies just say no to BD postcodes. Baildon is a good area, and some BD postcodes go right up into the dales, must be some of the lowest risk area's going!
I found sky wrote off my postcode straight away too, but brentacre, flux and admiral group all give...

Thats what I usually do (and had to do yesterday to get a brake nipple out!)
As Dan and James have said, heat is a wonder for getting bolts out.
Find out what bolt it is and get a replacement ordered too, as when its out you dont want to be refitting it!
Re: Harphamominom's Ph1 Project
Does it have a stealth exhaust on already (or std if hats stealth?)
I think an exhaust is always a good mod, you need a little noise even if its as tame as mine.
Gave it its first clean today :approve:

The trophy has been filthy since I picked it up, today is the first dry non windy day I've had free so though't I'd get on with it.
Wanted to do a full mini detail, wash/clay/hand polish/protect but the wheels took an age (even the wonder wheels came out ;)), and they still aren't perfect so...
