In all honesty you should have just bought a 182 with cup packs! The only saving grace for you is there is more of a selection of aftermarket coilovers from memory!

What i would also say to check (if the alternator wiring) which tbh it does sound like, also check;
Earth strap (gearbox to chassis) It's under the passenger side wheel arch liner...
Wouldn't it be better putting the money away until August/September time than buying this one that needs tax/belts/MOT'd etc by the time you can insure it? It really doesn't make sense to have it laid up.
