yeh im running standard shocks. im not sure how jabba sport altered my camber, think there is a camber adjusting bolt, and i read somewhere that with the compbrake solid top mounts you can change the camber?? they altered it by just over .5 of a degree i believe. same as the trophy apparently
well, there was a bit of play in the top mount and it didn't look to be sitting right. fitted new springs, and when the top mounts came off i noticed how much they had worn out in the middle. they should sit snug to a washer (i think) but there was about a 4mm gap all round
so i got some...
ok :)
cheers edde. just saw it on a track car and it looked impressive. mine is just looking a bit rough. might give it a clean then, if that doesn't work i might replace it. easy enough to replace?
anyone done this? saw it on a few cars at fcs and it looked great. will it be much louder/warmer inside the car if i remove it? if i remove it will the area where it was be painted?
can anyone think of any other reasons why i shouldn't remove it. didn't want to go and remove it if its there for...
hmmmm, your right. i just found some pics of the k-tek track car and the top mounts are a bit different. these were from k-tek tho, they do look like the ben-p compbrake ones. k-tek will be selling them soon tho i think
fitted my prolines last week and noticed the oem top mounts were knackered. so i madde a few phone calls and managed to pick up a set of k-tek's brannd new solid top mounts (only the k-tek track car and my car have them fitted)
so i took the car to jabba sport today to get them...
lol, sorry iain... misread 'ph1'. lol. not a lot of help then.
the ph1 ariel is huge. how about a cut down ph2 ariel. i have heard of people doing that
yep, its 50/50. the splitter thing is pure looks.
by all means, go for it. as said, its all interchangable for the ph2 rs models if you were to upgrade to one. will be a pretty nuts thing to do, it will definatly stand out!
in my opinion its very different to what the euro guys do. euro is all about the look, but carbon fibre (to me) is all about weight saving. not looks. its about performance and power to weight ratios.
thats just my opinion anyway... doesn't mean its right
amazing trophy. best trophy i have ever seen infact!
what did you use to carpet the boot, rear seat (removed) area? looks great and is something i want to do
thats the setup im going for next time round, although i don't need the braided hoses as i already have them. go all out and make some brake cooling ducts :) i think i might make a set soon to get rid of that little bit of brake fade on sprinted/track driving
