Ahh typical! Ta for the sizes, i'll have a little browse around ebay with those and see what I can find. I think I will need reducers too, the standard piping is around 50mm I'm sure.
Love being able to see an intercooler at the front. Mines is so old and s**t looking I'm sometimes not sure...
Cheers mate! Have you got a link by any chance? Had a look there on ebay and can't find anything, although I found various different sized ones on toyosports website
Just been having a little skim through this thread and noticed this. What intercooler is that you've got on there? Looks bigger than the dci 100 one. Looks better. Looks like something I want on mine lol :rasp:
I'll attend this. Had a quick word with Dan and I'm more than happy to help out with organising it too.
I think going on what I've seen in the Scottish group it might be best to split it into two areas though and have a meet in the central belt and another one for the highlands, in Inverness or...
That might be a good plan! ;) Tempted to source a cheap campus bumper now and see how it looks. I'm not sure what campus one I prefer though (if the images I'm googling are right anyway lol)
You can't use ESP sensors on non-ESP cars. I've currently got the wrong type on the rear of my car and they don't register a speed at all so the abs doesn't work.
I'm pretty sure the non-ESP sensors aren't even that expensive from Renault anyway
Cheers, I'm really liking the look. Can't help but feel the front end needs something else though. The rear looks fine with the sport bumper but there's nothing for the front.
The tyre lube got wiped off not long after that photo! Was already 2 and a bit hours late for leaving to drive away up...
Went in early Friday morning to pick up my wheels. They weren't quite ready, so I waited around a couple of hours until they were out the oven and cooled down.
Definitely worth the wait. There were two of the wheels that were too corroded to repair fully, so there's a slight pitting in those...
Finally took the decision to get my 172 alloys refurbed. Dropped them off to get powdercoated yesterday at Fife Powdercoatings, going to pick them up next Friday as I'm working away during the week just now. Looking forward to finally getting them on the car, just need some tyres first!
Lost a...
The EGR can cause the black smoke and loss of power you're on about, not sure about the misfiring though. No harm in disconnecting the plug to the egr and trying it.
I'm sure the other dci owners will be along soon with some input.
ESP needs a steering angle sensor and yaw sensor to work properly. Needs different ABS sensors to a non-ESP model too, possibly with a different ABS system as well. There's a fair bit more to it than just programming the switch unfortunately
Every set of SMD LED sidelights i've ever bought have started flickering eventually.
I put it down to them receiving 14v from the alternator when the car is running rather than the 12v they're designed to run on. Either that, or the heat from using the main beam damages them. LED's don't like heat.
Oh hai. Saved me from some boredom in work!
I've got a cat with the internals ripped out and removed my backbox. . I have a couple of videos of it in my project thread, I'll try and get a link to it in a minute. Sounds pretty good imo, and doesn't drone too much at motorway speeds either
EDIT...
£360 sounds a bit much to me. The £300 mark is about right. That's what mine cost me a few months back anyway, and that included the water pump and a new aux belt too (not that they cost a lot).
When you say a drastic loss of coolant, what do you mean? Did you lose coolant over a matter of...
Cheers folks, may go for the one Dink recommended, seems a good price for what it is!
£200 for a sound card  bit out of my budget lol. What's the differences with the more expensive ones? Will I still be able to get proper 5.1 from my xbox using that X-fi Xtreme Audio one above? That's...
The speakers I have atm aren't really worth that much. Taking that into account and adding what I'd ideally like to spend on a sound card, the Z906's are still over £100 more on top of that, unless I got them going cheap. All I'd ever have plugged into them is my PC and XO too. It's not like I...
I don't have the money or space to go down the AV receiver route really. I looked at the Z906 speakers too, but I figured getting a new sound card kinda killed two birds with one stone, as I'm using the on board sound on my pc just now and could probably do with a slight upgrade.
I've pretty...
Hoping someone can help me here.
I want to connect my XB One to my PC speakers. Anyone got any recommendations for a sound card? From what I can see, I'll need an optical input on the card to connect the Xbox, but apart from that, I have absolutely no idea what i'm looking for.
I have a set...
I'd take that with a pinch of salt if i'm honest lol, that's only what i've read about the engines. People have remapped the mk2 dci 80's up to around 100hp no problem before, and the mk3's are a lot newer so maybe wouldn't even suffer from the same problems! Figured it was worth mentioning...
As RenMatt just mentioned, the block on the 106 is different. Again, not sure about the mk3's, but I know on the mk2's the dci 100 had uprated pistons as the increased fuel rail pressure starting pitting them and in some cases blowing holes in them.
I'd check both brakes are both working ok with the pedal first, bleed them too if they need it. If they're fine though then it's probably just a case of the handbrake cable for that side needing tightening. Pretty sure they can both be adjusted individually, there's a guide on here for it somewhere!
Tbh I didn't even consider it with it just being an autotrader ad, but yeah it does look like a scam. Although I don't see how you can scam anyone with just an advert.
