I can have a check on the relays whenI get home from work today mate for you, got a note of them all at home from when I was having problems with my old dci 65
It's possible that it's came loose from the adjuster motor at the back of the headlight. If it sort of swings about inside the light unit this is probably the case. It connects to it in a kind of ball joint and the adjuster motor pushes it back and forth to pivot it and adjust the beam height so...
Cheers, it was your project thread over on cliodci.net that gave me half the idea's for mine! I'm loving the handling with the Eibach's though, just a shame my tyres are letting me down at the moment. Hopefully make a big difference when I fit my 16's with some decent tyres.
That makes me feel...
Hi all,
Decided on making a project thread on here finally, partly out of pure late night boredom.
I bought my dci 100 back in December last year after a lot of searching for the right one. Finally found one and decided on travelling about 200 miles to go get it, with only pictures to go on...
Was looking on eurocarparts there and it's telling me my dci has a dual mass flywheel. It's a mk2 dci 100. Can anyone confirm this? I thought the mk2 dci's all had solid flywheels.
Easeus todo backup. That's free and I'm sure it has cloning abilities in it. Providing it all fits on the ssd, all you need to do is clone your hdd to your ssd and that should be it.
You shouldn't have problems getting codes read, my last Clio was a 51 plate and the codes read fine on that. So long as the garage has good equipment that'll read renault's you'll be fine.
Diesels don't have a throttle body, the accelerator in a diesel just controls how much fuel is injected...
Not sure what else you could really try without knowing what the problem is. That light is an 'electrical fault warning light, so it could really be anything.
You need a code reader to get rid of the light though, doesn't seem go out by itself once the problem's fixed so it might be best trying...
A half decent auto electricians should have some sort of mobile diagnostics. The biggest problem with that light is 99% of the time, whatever has triggered it to come on will require it to be put onto diagnostics to reset it and turn it off. You could fix the problem and not know.
Could you not...
Air in the lines leading up from the tank is normal, won't really affect anything since it pulls up more fuel than the pump needs anyway. It's air in the lines between the pump and fuel filter that'll cause problems. It's a complete guessing game without diags though. The light being on in the...
I've never heard of that one...I've ran my current dci until the miles to go shows ---- loads of times and not had any problems so far.
A good way to check if the pump is knackered is to get a magnet and sit it against the one of the fuel lines between the fuel filter and the pump. If the pump...
Yeah that's the bit I mean. Just to make sure the pump is supplying enough fuel. The best thing would be to get the codes read on it. I had that light come on all the time on my old one, kept getting a garage down the road from me to turn it off, just to keep the car running fine and after a...
That glow plug/electrical fault light can mean hundreds of different things on these cars. The light being on in the first place though can actually cause the car to struggle to start. No idea why, but that's how it was on my last dci when that light came on. Is there any air in the fuel lines...
Pins 19 and 20 are for the 'CAN L' and 'CAN H' signal's to the instrument panel. I believe they go to the fuel gauge.
Pins 30 and 29 on the ECU are a battery feed and a connection back to a fuse in the engine bay fusebox. The wire running from pin 29 to the fuse is spliced and there is a...
Is the airbag you need for cruise control actually any different to the standard one? Planning on fitting cruise control and I was hoping the airbag itself would just be the same and I could just cut into the plastic cover for where the buttons would go.
Black 182 I've been passed by or passed a good few times on the M80 either on my way to work in the morning (southbound) or on my way home in the evening (northbound). Memory like a fish...cant remember the plate
Once managed 88mpg over the course of a motorway journey at 60mph in my dCi. Usually get between 65 and 70 though. Goal is to get 800 miles from a tank lol!
Hi everyone, I'm Stuart from central scotland. Proud owner of a diseasel clio :D Got some plans for it, mainly a remap and a few things to make it look a little better. Colour code all the bumpers, refurb the 172 wheels I have and get them on, lower it a bit etc. Would kill for a 1*2 but I do...
