i used polyester resin with hardener. which was 8quid for a litre from my local paint supplies. assuming you've mixed it correctly the resin shouldnt be that pink, and therefore when you put it on it actually covers over the stitches in the fabric. i initially didnt use enough hardener in the...
the skin is bonded onto the insert itself, due to being able to fit it easily again. However if you wanted you could quite easily use the insert as a mould, then seperate the carbon fibre from the insert (when cured) and bond it onto the car, not sure on the best way to bond it though?
will do, if i come across anybody i will let you know, might do some more bits myself :) BTW if anyone wants to do this themselves where gloves, heavy clothing and a mask. The fibres from the raw carbon get on your chest and in your skin, i was itching for days after using it! Also even when...
it was a one off on a roll, the seller had bought it to do some bits for his car. He sold it all off long ago. Your best searching on the net for some, sure there some suppliers? Not cheap however, i paid 45 quid for 1m x 0.45m so for an install your talking a lot more than that. would look good...
to be honest its an absolute arse and the carbon fibre is extremely nasty stuff, and the resins even worse. I got the carbon fibre mat off ebay, and wasted loads getting it wrong. You basically treat it the same way as fibre glass, cut the carbon to shape, resin it onto the piece, and then pour...
should be done for sunday, although i wont be fitting the insert as i'm having a new bumper due to the crash damage beginning of feb and they're an arse to fit and remove so am gonna wait till then... although really wanna fit it looks loads nicer in daylight
Riche and Loony get a cuddly toy, its the rear insert for my 172 bumper :) looks awesome in the flesh although i had to bust a bollock to do it, things are never as easy as they look! got a nice set of dash inserts just being finished off too :) some more pics of the insert
on the 04plate 1.2 they revised the inlet. as such the normal filters dont work. last time i heard they were still making one for your model.
best bet might be to get a few numbers and ring round and see who does what. i know k-tec list a couple of induction kits for your car.
john2modifed will do FK highsports for 445 delivered. k-tec wanted 15quid to deliver mine :S k-tec also seemed to be confused over two different types of Fk's i could have bought. (fitment wise) when FK themselves only list one. sounded suspiciously like bullsh1te to me!
17's too small? too big in my honest opinion.
can lower it upto 80mm on coilovers, or safely to 60mm on a spring and damper setup - such as the apex kit.
if your lowering anything further than 35/40mm i would definetely change the dampers.
shouldnt see why you'd lose any power. as long as you properly connect the new piece it should be about the same, albeit with a slightly reduced torque figure. this depends on your back box as well tho.
2modified supplied some stuff, death shed racing fitted the suspension :)
VSS bodyshop did some stuff, soon spraynique will be doing the front bumper/repairs
K-tec ive used and they're crap.
most of my stuff comes off here, and then i have a butchers at fitting it myself :)
tonnes of posts about this on the search. can go for better pads and discs, or go for larger calipers, or then 4 pots.
depends on budget and what you want.
might not actually. as the 182 doesnt have a tyre well iirc. as such it might be different on the back section. the cabin subframe mounting points should be the same for seats as they have the same holes drilled through the chassis to the underside.
