Got to agree. Let's see. Rent some office space, chuck up a few shelves and let the product sell themselves. No fabrication, no assembly, no advertising, no selling even! Sounds like easy money to me. :)

BC2 for me. I really just don't like the way either COD4 or MW2 plays online. For a single player campaign though, MW2 has the edge. The scripted sequences are really great to enjoy the first time around.

It should be. Probably to be totally sure, leave the recovery partition alone as these days it's like 5% of the total HDD space and simply install Ubuntu instead of the Windows OS.

EP1 was ok - I actually prefer it more as a campaign mod for L4D2 actually.
EP2 was superb - really enjoyable. The original HL2 is nearly 6 years old now - well overdue for a proper sequel.

You rang? ;)
Da - if you want to drop it off at my work, I'll have a look at it for you?
I won't be able to look at it until next week, but the offer's there...

Risky in the middle of Manchester m8. One smack, camera gone! ;)
But cracking pictures. They have that time-capsule look to them. Those that you'll look back on it 10 years or so and pick up little details that have changed.

Come on Chris. Get some pics up with it on the monster screen! ;)
I definitely got to a punch-screen potential a few times with it. But it's such a well crafted game. Doesn't take that long to get through it either. :)

Further to Andy Wright's earlier post, Portal is a freebie until the 24th May for both PC and Mac...

Very clever (if slightly frustrating!) game. Definitely worth buying, but for free it's a definite steal. :approve:

Reading quantum theory while drunk with a cucumber stuffed up my riggot makes more sense than all these pages put together.
Thread derailed. Now closed.

Are both monitors the same'ish size? Sounds like the 1st monitor has a higher resolution than the 2nd one can support and simply drops into sleep mode.
I have a 26" monitor and a small 15" off to the side. The maximum the 26" screen will run at is 1920x1200 which it's currently set to. The...
I declared both my exhaust and the Eibach springs and they each added around £20 to the policy.
You might get away with it, but for £40ish notes, I wouldn't take the risk personally. As said, some insurers are far more mod friendly and might not even charge you anything at all.

As Sharky says, they have re-released The Secret of Monkey Island and also have churned out 6 episodes of Sam & Max. You can buy and download all of those from Steam....

Well, from what I've tried on the PC - some good ones are:-
Dragon Age
Baldur's Gate II - very old now with dated graphics, but a HUGE game - still one of the benchmarks in the genre.
Oblivion - Game of The Year Edition (again, huge)
Torchlight - very straight-forward dungeon hack, but a few...
FPMSL! Aye - I rinsed the single player campaign and then had a small dabble online.
I keep going back to L4D2 for online shooters mainly. BF2142 keeps taunting me from the shelf though. ;)

wozzaa - what you say about 'overkill' really does make sense. My PC dates back from 2007 and like-for-like is laughable compared to the results of some of the recent kit out now.
But I've kept chipping away at it. Picking up the best spec AMD Phenom BE for it (cheap off Fleabay), upping the...
It will probably be a lot more flexible than that, I'd hope. Most of my games bought and dowloaded through Steam aren't actually Valve-based at all.
The last one I bought was Rome : Total War. They've got some really good indie games on there too. :)

Interesting thread. I can see the argument from both sides, tbh - though it doesn't really affect me as I bought one 2nd hand game for the Amiga and one for the PC back in 1994...... and that's been it!
Might just be me. If I saw a 2nd hand bin with a game I wanted for £14.99 and the brand new...
