I keep forgetting to hold down the fire button after firing, to see when the sniper's bullet lands. I'll have to stick a Post-It note on my screen to remind me! ;)

Hehehe! It's great going up against some good tank opposition in games like this. There was an opposing tank player the other day, can't remember if he was called Mercy31 or Mercy13 - but he was good. We had quite a few tit-for-tats during that game and I lost out on points to him at the end...
Not necessarily. Far from wanting to blow smoke up my own arse, I've stuck to vehicles in games like this for as long as I can remember. I'm not an uber-god at the tanks by any means, but I can hold my own against most of the stuff. I even spent 69 hours alone in tanks on BF2142. ;)

Don't get me wrong guys - I don't think the tanks are 'unbalanced' as such. If they were, I certainly wouldn't be using them like I do and in this and every other Battlefield game previous. :)
All I'm saying is that on maps like Atacama, you're relying on good opposing gunship pilots, long...
What's the score with the pistols, guys? I've been capped a fair few times with recon guys and their pistols. I take it that they get some decent unlocks for them later on?
Still loving the vehicle-side of it so far - the main battle tanks in particular. It's such a force multiplier when used...
Welcome to the forum!
I'm sure if you're willing to pay for the return air-fare (plus expenses!) - that there would be a few specialists over here willing to help you out. ;)

Ye-hes - get in.
That desert map is superb. Spent the last couple of games piloting a tank and being backed up by two good players in the gunship. The going was good for a while, until a few new players joined on the other side. Those feckers knew how to use AT kit!
Excellent game so...
Getting picked off by some mighty fine snipers on the other team - b*****ds. ;)
One made me PMSL as he clearly had the UAV scoped up. I didn't even press the key to use it, before BAM! - I was killed by an M95. A useful tactic, but its got to be one boring game style to play....
Had a few goes...
This is one of the biggest pain in the arses on domain XP machines. It appears to be so random as to who/what/where it effects. It does however seem to affect laptops a lot more than desktops in our case.
I'll try that idea above Andy, when I'm back in tomorrow.
Cheers,
D.
Sure am. :)
Imo, that's a sign of a well-balanced online game. On one quick go, I managed 9 kills and 12 deaths. This however was with zero map knowledge, level 1 kit and basically 'picking it up' as I went along. It is difficult at first, but more of enjoyable challenge to progress rather...
Well, having finished the campaign mode for a 2nd time, I thought I'd have a dabble online. Obviously at Rank 1, I've got the crappiest of kits (lol) - but feck me is this game good!
Just had two games, approx 20mins each - our team won one and lost the next. Still a little way off the first...
I really liked the campaign mode. It doesn't do anything 'new' so to speak in terms of WOW factor, but it's certainly enjoyable. Some great quotes in the dialogue as well - the devs must be proper James Cameron fans. I've heard so many quotes from Terminator and Aliens during it as well as...
Re: Battlefield 3
Good to see the MP-7 is there again on MoH. I used that to death on BF2 - can't remember if it was the engineer or anti-tank unlock though.

Just going through the single player campaign on this again. Arguably liking it more now than the first time around. It 'feels' more polished - I take it that they've fixed and optimised a fair few things in the patches?

You've got exactly the same sound-card as I have. Tbh, I've just stuck to the Realtek onboard audio this time around and apart from missing the 5.25" connector bay at the front, I've no real desire to go back. Not that I could anyway as the Extreme III has no PCI slots - lol. I'm glad in a way...
Fair point! It is however the first board that hasn't made me nervous about OC'ing stuff. It's not 100% fool-proof by any means, but its very good at alerting you when things are running too hot - my OC experiments with the stock Intel HSF proved that for me.
Speaking of which - consider a...
Only really seen it 'working' first hand this morning when installing Windows 7 Pro x64 on one of our HP 2230s laptops.
Going about it's normal business, the CPU was running at 780Mhz, 880Mhz, 980Mhz and peaking at 1,080Mhz, before dropping back to 780Mhz when things got a little quiet...
Swap the mobo, imo.....

The OC options on this baby are literally quite scary. I don't think I'll even touch about 70% of them on mine. :)

RA3 was an absolute embarrassment - the team who churned that shite out should hang their heads in shame. I really liked C&C Generals and the later C&C3 Tiberium Wars - they still had that 'something' from the original Command & Conquer, imo.
I can't comment on C&C4 as I haven't tried it, but...
