Mine gets over speed bumps fine. I've lowered it to the point where the front arches fit uniformly around the wheel... if that makes sense. The one thing you want to watch out for, is deep pot holes, or roads in really bad condition. Smacked my bumper the other day, and popped the arch...

In some cases, fully comp is less than tpft. You need to have a look around more, and take off the mods. That's what I did and it came down about 2 grand, albeit for a slightly more powerful car.

the petrol myth is all to do with the fuel igniting prematurely under compression. The higher the octane, the more pressure it is able to withstand without igniting. Supposedly. In a 2 litre clio engine, you won't notice the difference. In something turbo charged or running high compression...
