Aye. I downloaded a game for Jain's Macbook the other day from the Apple site and on the hardware requirements it said "Any Mac released in the last 7 years".
Imagine the same for PCs.... ;)

Ah. No worries.
Funnily enough, my m8 has had the same issues with reformatting his PC in the past few days - he never appears to have a completely 'clean' drive. He's only using a single drive too.
I think he's retrying it with RAID in the next day or two, though.

You guys must be lucky - we've just ended up recreating issues and problems on a full blown XP machine instead! :)
And lets face it - its not in MSoft's interest to keep people hankering-on for a 9-year-old O/S. Probably why they omitted it from the mass-market Home Premium Edition of 7?
D.
Gaz,
HP are normally one of the easiest printers to setup, but you really do add an extra layer of complexity with wireless.
I suspect (and only talking from the previous issue I've had with HP wireless printing here) - if the fact that the printer's wireless network card is not obtaining a...
Adrian Flux were great with me for the Punto GT and its mods. They approached it logically and didn't flap about the car being non-standard.
The only reason I changed from them was the fact that the premium went up by nearly £200 the following year. Despite being at the same address, no...

Personally, I use XnView. A great free app....

I must admit, I'd feel a right tool in that. Looks like something a Russian billionaire might be ferried around in whilst he decided which part of Takiskiyissanakstan to carpet bomb.
Recliners in a car too? I instantly think Winnebago - lol!

I think it's a great game so far, but I'm struggling with the 3rd-person views when driving vehicles - as I said in the other 1st vs 3rd person thread. On foot, it's a much better game.
I'm obviously not doing it right then! :)
Not far off - about £8 iirc! ;)
It's currently back up to...
It all depends on the mobo really. We've got a few at work that in the BIOS allows you to enable both onboard and an additional card. We use it to have dual monitors supported on one desk, while the onboard graphics runs a signal to a 40" plasma nearby.
Granted, most do appear to be one or the...
Windows 7 64-bit.......... 1,000% over Vista 64. At one point I had 10 games installed (on a fresh install of Vista). 7 failed to launch, or crashed a short while after using them, 2 I had to alter in some shape or form to work ok, and 1 worked perfectly.
Since installing Windows 7 64-bit...
Just how do you take down 12 antennas with the entire EDF army after you - when your only hope is in an armoured jeep that has the directional stability of using a pogo-stick on a waterbed and being smashed out of your tree while doing so? ;)
I mean, I managed to smash 9 of the b*****ds before...
It just takes a little practice and patience, m8. I've got my 26" monitor, with a small, old 15" one plugged in on the side. Moving from one to the other is like going from 5th gear and then slamming it into 1st - lol. ;)
D.
I'm the opposite. I don't know if the effect is compunded in me getting a 26" monitor recently, but when the action gets a little frantic on Red Faction, I do feel a little weird a few seconds later.
I've never had problems within FPS games though - ever. My m8 suffers with FPS games quite...
Munson's right - you need to go through a process of elimination. With the side off the PC, try unplugging the power lead to the hard drive and switch it on - see if the noise returns.
If it does, try going through the fans within the PC - unplugging each in turn. EXCEPT the processor (CPU)...
Got to agree. The approach shots to the green are by far the most difficult part of the game. I've managed to crack putting though - if only I could do the same in real life - lol!

Looks nasty. :( Luckily it sounds like the tyre was the only damage caused.
Would a blow-out have caused more 'ripping' of the tyre, rather than the clean looking split on the tyre in the pic?
D.
Wow. Really. Wow.
I've been on a Wii today and have been thoroughly impressed with both the game and the Motion Plus controller. It's one of those combinations that doesn't just work well, but superbly well imo - and as a consequence makes the game massively more enjoyable overall.
The...
Good point, actually. It works really well I find when you're lobbing those explosive charges in arc - say over a wall or something. Think I still prefer 1st person though.
GTFO then! :rasp:
