Anyone got it off Steam yet? It's a WW2 RTS, where the emphasis seems to be on kidding your opponent that you're actually attacking in larger numbers/a different position/with different units than you actually are.
I've only had one go against the AI (and lost) and so far would say it was...
Definitely! Much preferred the Tenticle than Monkey Island. I even paid extra to get the voice disc sent to me for that. I think it was an extra £9.99, iirc. Worth it though. :)

Love that slip-road - especially when you come from the direction of Ashton itself, anti-clockwise. Quite a tight right turn then 2nd gear blat down onto the motorway. :)

I currently use this one....

Love it, love it, love it. I think it's been replaced by a 27" version now though. Cost me around the £250 mark back in December.

Would you class that as a 'guilty pleasure' though? Sure, it's an old game - but it's straight from the Civ stable. It's a cracking game in its own right. :)

That was crazy that. Surely they could have allowed it to work with previous saves? I never completed the game purely for that reason. Unstable at buggy on first release, I didn't want to put time into it and then find that a patch update killed my saved games.

Looks like a few Play Traders have got new ones in at a respectable price...

The Red Alert series went so off of the rails for me, it was untrue. That last one they made with stupid Russian airships and what looked like Chinese men with hats on coming out of the ground? :S I know it was never meant to be a 'serious' RTS - but it felt like playing an alternative...
Really? Please tell me you have some of these babies.......?

Do you like IL-46 Sturmovik and Lock-On as well?

Interesting viewpoints in this thread. I never really 'got' Supreme Commander and I tried - I really did. I even tried it again when I got the dual monitors, thinking that would make me like the game more with the map off to the right screen. It never did. I remember the original likes of Total...
I know - see below!!!
FFS! I've just bought my first DLC for it! SHHHHHHIIIIIIITTTTTT!!!!! - I'm a bloody anorak! No I'm an old man! Worse - I feel like an old man who's also a bloody anorak!!!
Next I'll be checking out timetables for the Manchester Piccadilly to Plymouth train service...
Now that was EPIC. I had the Deluxe version, myself. :) The trouble is, it was a piece of piss to make money. Build one airport at one side of the map. Build a second airport at the other side of the map and see the £££££ roll in.
Still, it was a great game doing over the computer opposition...
Lol! I quite liked the idea of getting a huge, hulking diesel train up and down some American terrain - but then I also noticed you could do the First Trains' Oxford to Reading run. Erm, I don't think so.
D.
This is so, so, SO wrong. Why on earth would you want to have a train simulator on your PC?
Erm, because it's strangely, bizarrely and compellingly addictive...:o
Lol!....
I never had a train set or anything like it as a kid. It never...
Chaos Rising is already pre-ordered for me. Loved DoW2 - even if your units did get a little uber-powerful at the end and made the finale a bit of a walk-over.
C&C3 was great too. Hopefully C&C4 will uphold the tradition. :approve:

Does make me laugh at at how quickly these unlocks are being achieved. In Battlefield 2142, I've clocked in 280+ hours, but still haven't got everything.
Must be a COD influence that in the game design. "I WANT EVERYTHING AND I WANT IT NOW, DAMMIT!" ;)

Not sure how that .50 plays online, but it was a bit 'meh' for me in the single player campaign. I much preferred the T88-S - even without the scope. The simple red dot was more than good enough. :)
