Hmmm very odd. Its a private sale so maybe need to take out for a test drive again. If it is the wing mirror I assume this must be easy to resolve? I do a lot of motorway driving so cant be arsed with a whistle, rattling sunroof in the dci is annoying enough! was hoping to move away from all...

Thanks for the above guys, I have searched before posting this up but it seems to relate to the air con. If its off its whistles almost as if its coming through the vents, turn the air con on the whistle stops. The only thing I did find when searching is that it may relate to the interior/map...

Is it the same i.e. air con on/off?

This evening I took a 172 out that I'm thinking of buying. However when I went probaly above 70mph there was a whistling noise, the air con was off but when I turned it on the noise stopped. I know there are various threads about wing mirrors/windscreens but I dont think its related to that...

I was going to post this Unless you go for a 1.6 Dynamique, wish I done this I few years ago but then you begin to think about 2.0 16v I have a DCi just now, will be more expensive than a petrol 1.4 for example but get more for your money I guess, more fun and you can do worthful engine mods
