My Grandad has a 1999 Mk2Ph1 Clio 1.9D and called me today and he said its misfiring on 1 cylinder.
I have no idea about diesels so just wondered what this could be, initial thoughts are plugs?

Going tpft is a gamble but useful if your waiting to go 21/earning more bonus, i'd say you should only do it if you have the money to replace your car in the bank should the worst happen.

I was going to do this and keep the 182 standard but since i missed out on a cheap ph1 I just decided to start doing stuff to mine. Plan is now to keep mine when i change cars in the future and then strip it out totally as i wont need a practical car...

Its on minimum, I fill it to nearly full and it drops back to minimum and stays there so guess thats where it likes to be :). It never drops below minimum so i'm not too concerned.
Ive took paint off a brand new £25k car before with a hude industrial hot pressure washer :o . Never done it on my own car though with a normal ~100bar home pw.

Haha that was a bit scary when i saw you looking really worried and not slowing down, ive been managing with metal on metal grinding for a few weeks now, but tonight i had no braking at all so it needs doing before i kill myself!
I agree with this^^, if its the other side of the country i'll ask for loads of info and pics then arrange a price before I go, but if its fairy close (sub 100miles then i'll go and have a look before talking money.
