Yeah, on a monitor is takes your whole field of view. It's much higher res so you can sit so close. We had a gaming session last night. 32" and probably sat 5/6ft from it but its far more the social aspect than the immersion really. I never game by myself anymore.

VHD is Windows bundling all your folders etc together. If you plug that into the Vista machine and double click it, it should spark into life and open it all up for you. Then that should give you access to all your files etc.

Is there a lot there? More than the Vista laptop can handle? Not sure how it will cope going from 7 to Vista, but there's one way to find out. Plug it into the Vista machine and see if it will unarchive it all. Then just copy it back to the drive manually, then onto the Mac.

So you backed up manually, then used the Windows backup? What are the file extensions? Or is it just all lumped together?

That TBH. Many garages know what they're doing but these engines are massively temperamental. My local garage does all sorts on all our families cars and has done for years, trust them and they always do a good job but I made a much longer (and more expensive) journey to get my cambelt etc done...

A 1k excess is bad but it depends how you look at it. If you have a bump = get the bits and fix it yourself. A bumper/bonnet/paint is going to be cheaper than your excess. To the insurance company your car is probably only worth £4k. If you have a major bang, so...

I think your main problem is your friends. I don't mind people eating in my car. I don't mind people being in my car. But they wouldn't damage it or disrespect it. If they started trying to eat the headrests or wanted to s**t on the roof then I'd just give them an infraction.

You'll need wings, bonnet, bumper and arch liners. Massive effort and the front is the best part of the Ph1. Spend the time and money swapping the dash! Lol.
