Probaly have trouble closing when you open it, just sounds like the cabel has come lose

Could be either, check the ballast again can tell when its in right by the feel also check the green wire that goes into it is secure, can only put this is once the ballast is locked in. If not it could the bulb have a look at that, can usually tell if its had it

Having a read throw good old top gear magazine and it appears Hammond himself is as anal as some of us on here, says he has bought the swissvax that you apply by hand - isn't that £1k plus? Good man! :D
