ok i wired something into the cig lighter on my 182. it all works fine, untill i turn the lights on then it does not work? did i use the wrong wires??

its ok i meant the whole surround around the gear stick but done it

how do i remove the plastic around the gear stick? i need to get access to the cig lighter point?

encase anyone cares heres how to get a wire from the engine bay to the cabin the wire will come out here
