put a bit of card behind the simcard so when you use the metal clip its firmer.
download nokia pc suite and you can update the firmware of the phone.
you will loose all data from the phone so back up first

the featires have been improved and the satnav is as good as a tomtom. but the software is mega poor.
lets hope for some updates soon
have you done a firmware update?
are you makning sure you put the simcard in correctly (straight)
are you making sure the metal clip is being secrued over the simcard?
the n96 is a fantastic phone, all features have been improved big time.
take the satnav, it picks up a signal straight away its just as good as a proper satnav.
but the downside is the software is really buggy. its gona take a few software updates from nokia to sort this issue
OMG is the software on the n96 buggy!!
when the n95 came out i thoght it was ok and with the latest firmware update my n95 runs 100% perfect. fast no freezing or resetting.
all the n96 does is freeze and reset, nokia better start getting some software updates out there.
this is my personal opinion only - so dont start moaning!!
looks - i think it looks pretty good, apart from the white light up buttons. they look a bit cheap and naff.
feel - very solid, much more solid than the n95
useability - normal nokia layout, so pretty easy to use. millions of...
yeah o2 its an upgrade.
they started with £45 a month on 18months, i said piss off i only want 12 months.
they said 12month at £35 and the phone was £170 so again piss off.
we settled on £30 for the phone at £35 a month for 18 months and unlimited internet for free.
