generally when you get issues it's a wiring problem and tends not to be confined to throttle circuit but can be a straightforward fix though.
going to cable involves changing a lot of stuff.
the shitty bushes are bearings on the pms set up. basically any play you can feel with the pms is in the box itself. you can feel the detent balls click into place on the selector shafts with the pms. if the scenic set up was £20 then it would be worth it, over £100...jog on!!
any views on them? never used them but throwing something on my lads twiglet and wondered what these are like?
either these, some ds2500 i found or m1144 mintex.
i just drop subframe a bit and then pull the box over and let it rest on the subframe, gives you that bit extra room so you don't have to fiddle around lining the clutch up etc. no need t take it all the way out.
dead calliper then. don't think it can be fixed but have never looked that far into them, i don't even bother with rebuilding for the price of a new one.
seen the mechanism fail in the calliper a couple of times. take the cable off and turn the arm with a pair of pliers and see how far it goes, try the wheel when it's as far forwards as you can get it, if it still turns then calliper mechanism is dead.
you can normally feel it when you turn the arm.
