But that's the point, I've been here a long time and watched a lot of people make their motor a "hardcore" trackday car, a lot then hate it and sell up.
I can 100% see the point in making the car feel more focused, stripping it back, rear door cards, do one, even front door cards if you fit a...
You say you're doing track days, right? Now, on these track days, what difference is 1kg of dash top going to make? Or even 5kg of full dash?
It seems to be in more recent years that people have blurred the lines between race cars and track cars. Removing some serious parts to lose 150kg odd...
Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'
White will however be better to spot any butchered CV joints etc... More cleaning, but like your white engine, spotting issues is easier.
Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'
Looking forward to putting it all back together on Saturday. Exciting stuff.
Buy a box of gloves from somewhere if you haven't already mate. Invaluable.
Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'
You massive tart you!! It looks great though mate. I think we should re-name this thread "Oli builds a 172 from just mail order parts"
Interesting...! I think you and I seek the same things in a car, the reason I couldn't get on with my three series, but can with my z4.

Hmmm, as you need before and after photos, perhaps I should drive down and you should do "130,000 mile BMW Z4" and I'll bring the camera ;)
You need a simple website with just four pages or so, and maybe a little bound brochure to keep on site to show customers or even give a few out.
Generally request that the sender sends it over in a more friendly format, or download a hooky copy to convert it down yourself then just run on your licensed one.
Bloody fantastic work Ginger, I must say though, it pisses me off no end that you don't take "before's".
Go and buy a cheap digi cam from ASDA, leave it in the workshop and just take before's and afters of anything that comes in.
It frustrating, because before and afters on that could be a...
Hmmm, really like that now.
I'd have not done the exhaust but that's just the amount of miles I do.
Just so I have an idea, what would this sell for if you sold it tomorrow?
Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'
Not as bad as mine, LTSB fucked up and literally emptied my current account, taking two days to sort out. LOL! Too long of a story to explain.
