I think it's more people think you're greedy by keep pushing for more. When you've got a £2.5k bill down to £125.
What's happened to the other owners with the same problem? Were they all within the warranty? Anyone outside the warranty had it replaced FOC?
You can probably get a bumper/boot for £200. Then depending on who/where to get it sprayed, mebbe £150.
It's also got no tax (£235) and no MOT. Which could cost hundreds. Plus the fact it's worth sod all if you sell it as it's CAT D.
I'd leave it and find another. If it was so easy to fix, he...
Fair play for standing your ground. Do you have that 95% in writing? I don't suppose you do if they called last night to offer it.
It's risky, if you piss them off they might withdraw any offer.

If you just do the the rears it looks like a van and looks awful.
That's your fault for not checking the signal availability. Not theirs.
If you've opted in to the shared signal thing and that's causing it, then opt out.
No network has 100% perfect coverage.
You sound like you have no idea what do to.
If you're that serious about getting rid of the aircon, then pay someone to do it or get someone who knows what they're doing to help you.
You seem to be paying a big big price from someone who you have no real experience of and for pissing about getting parts etc.
I paid less than you and I dropped my car off and picked it up later. No messing. Rentech FTW.
