Just done it yesterday, dropped 40mm on standard shocks, i cant decide if its too harsh, on normal roads its ok until you hit the potholes and then you know about it, but long motorways should be ok since the surface is usually quite even.
As for messing about on the twisties, it is harsh but...
Bought the car with p6000's on, ace tyres, great grip but all 4 needed changing, i was low on funds and went budget, got 4 pace tyres fitted for next to nothing and regretted it ever since. When i say no grip i mean it, i nearly lost the back end into a building that night going around a corner...
Running on 205's atm with no spacers or rubbing, checked properly last night while it was over the pit. Dont think i could go much wider though, not without spacers.
Dont understand why everyone else gets dirt cheap insurance but i just dont, none of my mates do either, my mate is paying £2500 on a corsa sxi. There is no way i can get insurance cheaper, ive tried phoning, online, going through my dads company with family discount and got no where.
I had a quote saved with bell that expires on wednesday, did a fresh quote with same details and it was £200 more, checked and double checked and they were identical so ive bought the one at the old price, finally going solo away from my mum's policy as she needs the bonus for her renewal due to...

My postcode is high risk, simply because they only go on the first section and that spans a wide area of halifax, from million pound mansions to bad council estates, i live in a very good area...
Well my first year was with quinn, didn't charge anything when i passed but this was arranged when we took out the insurance. Change of car to the clio didnt cost a thing, friendly staff but got a stupidly cheap quote from more than so moved to them.
Surely its the other way around?
Anyway, i was concerned about the clutch, so i got it changed (cost £60 in parts, free labour from my uncle) and its exactly the same and the old one wasnt too bad when it came out. Plus it was a PITA to change, subframe has to come off which can be hard work on...
Dads an insurance manager, asked him and he says its a load of crap and refuse to pay.
What company is it?
Also i agree with the insuring in you own name from day 1, wish i had done it as i would have 2 years ncd now and would be in a 172.
