I'd whip the pro race 1.2's off the saxo before you sell it. They're worth a few hundred quid.
Saxo looks good though, mileage is a bit high but should get decent money for it.
I have sportlines. I found that I have more confidence in the car with the springs on. The reduced body roll just makes the car feel more direct and sharper.
I'd like to try coilovers in the future.
Personally i'd meet up with another RS Clio and see how yours pulls against it. If your so much down on power it will pull on you like you've got your handbrake on.
I've always had a soft spot for MCS's. It looks superb to be fair.
I like how you can get big power out of them for a small amount of money.
The works is 210 bhp already iirc so it must shift.
I've not driven a PH2. Its something I plan on doing though to see the difference. I went for the PH1 because I prefare the looks, it has cheaper tax, cheaper tyres, I like the old school factor it has and also because it doesn't look like a dynamique from distances over 10M.
PH2's on...
The standard brakes are good. Well mine are shot now actually so i'll be going for Brembo HC and DS2000's I think. Although i'm tempted to just go standard as I don't do track days.
I've been very impressed with my Eibach Sportlines. Can't comment on coilies though as I have no experience of them, I presume coilies are far better but for the money i'm made up with the spings.
I agree with you. I don't have the money at the minute to highly modify my car. If I did i'm unsure about whether I would or not, I don't know.
To do it properly you have to spend a fortune like you and ben have to get it right.
I'd want SC conversion, KW 2 coilies, new brakes all around...
182 cup front suspension won't go on. They have 60mm hole spacing where as 172's and non cup'd 182's are 54mm.
If your refering to a PH1 172. Please never call it a bug eye. Its not a scooby.
