I wouldn't bother on a 182. Its only a £5K car, they arn't stolen very often anyway. A Vee, Evo, Scooby, Ferrari.... Yes but wouldn't think it was worth it on a 182.

I'd of liked one in my 172 but I don't think a 1*2's box is up to the quick shifts. Gearchange is a big let down on the 1*2's unfortunately.

Nope ph1's are the best 1*2. Fact. The trophy may drive better but the ph1's are the best looking. The lightest whilst still keeping AC, ABS etc even then they're only 14KG's more than a Cup. I'm biased as i'm a ph1 fan boy but still.

Nice car. Get the F1 Cups back on though, they're a big part of what makes the ph1's look much better than ph2's.

ph-ugly? They're the best looking 1*2 by far. That is unless you like your RS Clio looking like a Clio Dynamique. They have a lot more road precence than ph2 models imo. Proper aggressive old school hot hatch looks.

What makes the 197 a mistake? I know i'd rather have one over a 172 or 182.

Should have kept the first wheels on it or some others. I hate ph2 172 wheels, make the car look like a dynamique. Its lovely apart from that though mate, looks really well kept.

I've never driven a 197 or 200, however most people use their 1*2 for general day to day aswell as fast road and in some cases track. Personally i'd rather take the MK3 RS over a 1*2 as an all rounder because thats what a hot hatch should do. On a twisty road yes the 1*2 will feel more raw...
