Mine does this, I've put it down to the pads moving in the calipers when you brake. The reason for doing this is, mine does it still but every part of the suspension has been replaced!

I love the shifter & wheel, they've changed the car for the better, two rather expensive parts but they transform the car.

My box does similar on track, but mine grinds into 3rd, I've always wondered if it's me or the box though.
Can the bush at the bottom of the box cause selection issues?

It's not illegal, they are making a payment towards the mileage, it doesn't have to be the "approved amount" as shown on HMRC.
If, the OP put in a tax return then he could claim tax relief by multiplying his mileage by the approved amount then deducting the amount paid by Domino's anything left...
Find somewhere local who can give you an insurance estimate. Then you can keep control of the car, so if it's written off you have it so it can be bought back easily enough.
From that list, I'd expect a write off though, which you can fix with the insurance pay out.

Have you tried putting a jump lead from the battery to the starter and see if it spins over. If it does, connect a jump lead from negative to gearbox and see if it starts
