To be honest I hit a quiet spell yesterday afternoon and got purchasing to try and source these. Couldn't find anyone with any stock or source for these unfortunately. I didn't try Bapp as they're a competitor of ours locally, may be worth a try in your Donny branch.
I kinda like how ugly they are! Makes them look purposeful. What about if you re-fitted them from behind, so the "flange" was hidden, and the cutout only showed the guts of the vent?
I bought a house
To be honest, since the last post, I changed job twice, went through COVID (so that's 2 years deleted), bought a house and renovated it and got some cats.
But I've found all my photos of me doing bits so I'll be uploading them in the next few days.
Defo fitting a cooler. I'm currently harassing Beauvais via PM :D
I was thinking as a belt and braces technique, cooler and uprated fluid, seeing as its not exactly expensive!
That's interesting, I actually deal with Tetrosyl through work (both buying from and selling to) so it would be worth getting in touch with them to check! Would there be any downside to going to Dexron V? Other than price?
Also, going into the 'volume on demand' idea, as long as the cooler...
Yes! Thank you. We're cooking with gas now!
Is a smaller cooler better than a larger one? i.e. Any cooling is better than what's on now, and a smaller cooler would keep the pressure up? I've been looking at generic 10 and 13 row coolers, approx 300x100mm.
Amazing help thank you so much for this! I'm 99% certain I've got my head around it now!
Will send you a message regarding the kit.
I love those drybreaks but I think they're a bit unnecessary for me.
I'm glad this is gaining momentum - stops me looking for wheels I don't need!
Thank you all, this info is fantastic!
That would be amazing, thank you! More than happy to fire some beer tokens over to show my appreciation. DM me if you'd prefer to sort it there.
I've got access to a lathe - is the adaptor to go from the fitting from the pump to the -8AN pipe?
I'm...
Saw you at Blyton! Think we exchanged a sneaky thumbs up. I was in the black 172 with the yellow cage and black team dynamics, driving slow as hell lol.
Also, free bump for this photoshop masterclass!
Thought I'd bump this rather than starting a new thread. I've had the PAS pump done along with the belts, threw the car round Blyton and boiled the fluid again, so definitely need to get this cooler fitted this winter.
Going off the above, am I right in thinking its as simple as cutting the low...
Also keep an eye on the ends of the "combs" if using on something soft. If you press too hard and the surrounding material is higher, you can catch the cloth. But otherwise, a great tool. Good for getting cat hair off the stairs.
Another vote for Birchdown. I um'd and ah'd about going down there for a few years (I'm near Blackburn, so North of you) but I bit the bullet this year for belts & PAS pump with no regrets. Sound lads. Just don't drive straight past like I did and get lost miles down the road lol.
Old thread I know, but tough.
What are these like if you're a big lad? The ones I had (admittedly cheap) had straps that kept slipping/rolling down, most likely to the size of my thighs #bootylicious
I still kinda like the looks of this, but with new cars, I may as well be giving my opinion on super yachts.
The (badly kept) secret rear doors are annoying, as its not like there isn't an equivalent 5dr somewhere in the range.
Interesting how they've used large wheels to make it seem smaller...
I wrapped mine with Tesa loom tape (cloth tape that looks oem), and relocated the boot light to halfway up the C pillar. I used satin black rattle cans and the result was very similar to the above. My only pointer would be that it absolutely stank of paint for weeks after so definitely worth...
Defo sounds like the mounts need loosening, letting the engine idle to find it's happy place and then re-torquing. With them re-torqued it should alleviate any worries of them being too tight as well.
Okay I've done more research. You are both correct. Some are great, some are gash.
Basically you want more than 2gb of RAM apparently, and the brands T'Eyes, Xtrons & Joying are decent brands with good customer service.
Unfortunately those ones are up in the £250 or so category, so I need to...
Opposing views!
One of the reasons I was looking at the cheap ones was the larger screens. A lot of the branded ones just do a 6.8 double DIN size screen whereas the cheap ones have up to a 10.1 screen and look more modern.
Non- Clio content! Obviously not putting a 10.1" screen in my track car :ROFLMAO:
Getting a new daily shortly, and I'm looking into a decent head unit. I mainly listen to podcasts & metal music when driving to work, so I don't need crushing bass etc, and the car has a seemingly decent sound...
