It's easy with an open.. but only for about 10metres and then you spin.. I have some nice opposite lock pictures from Llandow with an Open dif (ok it was torrential rain which helps)
Well tbf mine is on original bushes and dampers with Apex springs so that doesn't help.. but compared to something bigger wheel base.. S-body, E36 etc well there is no comparision! haha
By snow i'm assuming most people in this country are refering to the "studded" type of tyres which are in fact more "ice" tyres.. just to confuse it all some more!
If you get one with a thermostatic sandwhich plate it really can't do any harm fiting one.. that's the way I see it..
Although More joints to leak like Ben says is also a factor I guess..
Check the age stamp should say the week of the year they are manufactured eg. 22 10 22nd week 2010
You might find they are so old the rubber has "gone off"
Yeah they my tyres ones are fine, they are shipped from Europe IIRC that's why they are cheaper.
Garages charge anywhere between 5-15 quid per tyre to fit them and I paid about 25quid for alignment last week..
Also some garages don't like fitting tyres they haven't supplied so you may have...
