I think I'll try lightroom. I didn't see raw & jpeg option on my D50. I'm sure it was there, but it appears not to be anymore.. *edit* It is there still. I'm going senile.

Is there a way to preview them? Otherwise I have a load of files and have to open them all individually with photoshop to be able to see them. Which sucks.

In that instance, the ND filter won't make any difference. Let's say the sky blows out at 500ths/f1.8. But the foreground is well exposed. If you gain two stops by using the filter, your foreground will be too dark. So you'll have to re-adjust it and you'll just blow the sky out again.

Actual beer or a cartoon? You'd be better converting a vid I'd have thought as otherwise it will never look right if you try and photoshop a few images. But that would be relatively simple, Rob. You'd knock that up in a few hours from scratch even if you've never used flash before.

The difference is 3mm. If you can spot that from a picture, you're a better man than me.

It's perfectly okay, but you have to remember that you can't test that engine, you can't drive it and see if it feels okay or anything else. Sometimes it's just better the devil you know. Is yours completely dead? Well if I came to buy your car and it had a new engine fitted by lets say...

Daz said £500-800 in that thread. Personally, I'd get a garage to do it. Go and see a specialist and have it done properly. You might be able to get Bob to do it for a few beers but in a months time when it doesn't feel quite right or or something goes wrong, you're in a whole world of issues...
