Same old story, you get what you pay for. For £3,000 id be looking elsewhere tbh, a Saxo VTS would be first port of call if you really dont want a Phase 1 172. I dont see what the big problem is about the phase 1. Its got a dated interior.... Well i dont know about anyone else that...

Subject to popular belief there isnt a hell of alot of performance difference in the VTS and 172. The Saxo does 60 in 7.4 and the 172 in 7.0 I had one for a while and there definatley isnt much in it, i loved that car! Responds very well to breather mods, cam shafts and a full exhaust and...
