Fair play mate, as nice as it seems, I'm not I could live with a welded diff. I'd love a passenger ride at some point though? I'm down your way on tuesday for college if you fancy a mini meet in the evening? I've never been out in one of these old mx5's so I wouldn't mind seeing what all the...
Result on finding another, PM me a link?
So you're admitting that's it's dinner, and you're just calling it tea? ;)
On a serious note, and I'm really not over exaggerating, I've honestly never seen a car with CSL reps on.
Proper flipping epic! I'd love to see what it looked like...
I f**king loved that car, seriously, like a child.
You couldn't have sold me a better motor, and TBH if I hadn't ever met you, camping as CSS wouldn't be half as fun! All in all, a worth while purchase.
I've been waiting for this thread since I saw a post where you said you'd got one.
2 seats is the way forward, welded diff though, how's that working out for you????
You going to pop down to the grasshopper meet so I can take a look/finally meet you???
You bend it, you buy it.
Cheers mate, best car I've ever owned TBH. I really really love it.
The 172 was my first ever "fast" car, and it had a special place in my mind which I didn't think I'd find again, this just blew it out of the water TBH.
Sunday yes, :o
See you then, no doubt...
I've made the educated decision today that I'll be replacing them with fully refurbed mint ones, an option that'll cost me £340 :( I have a £180 option, but this doesn't involve splitting them, and will powder coat over the bolt holes.
Funnily enough the guy on the forum that does them has...
Knowsit Tom.
Wick came out in it yesterday and was sold. Just buy one, you know it makes sense. No kids (that you know of) means two seats is just purrfect.
The current trim is quite "satin like" though, being brushed.
I'm going to get it done in carbon no matter what, as I've already got the trim and if I don't like it I'll pass it on to someone on the zed forum :)
I think that photo on ebay makes it look more shiny than it really is TBH.
I like the look of that carbon. Can't wait to get mine back, still got to post it mind :o
I <3 BMW, phoned parts, asked for the gearknob, £52, have it by sat morning. BONZA.
Alan - £2.50? Have you misplaced a decimal? I'd certainly give it a go! Baller spec.
Oh, another opinion (Tom, Ant)...
Tom, mines looks more like the bottom one, it's just brushed metal. If the piece around the gearknob etc was in perfect nick I'd keep mine no contest, I'm just a fussy fucker.
That woodwork though, very... not me? ha
Called the place in essex for the gear knob, none in stock and it'll...
I cannot get over how divided opinion is on things. I'm about to order a standard zhp knob though I think. It can come from the UK that way too.
Cheers mate, the csl wheels will go on eventually, but I think I'm going to tidy up the standard ones first.
I just liked the look of the...
I've only ever bought cars off of members on here. First car was from my dad ,then:
The 172 I bought of Daniel, what a f**king dog that was, stitched me right up.
I'm kidding of course, awesome person to buy a car from TBH, totally honest and even helped out with an issue that arose after...
FFS this has divided opinions....
I'll start from the start.
The light up gearknob is a BMW item, only comes on when the lights are on and the light up-ness is quite subtle. It can be bought exactly the same without the light up, so I may well do that.
Why is everyone so against it? It's...
Ok, so this is going to be somewhere for everything z4 related, no more threads. Honest.
As you all know I bought the car a fair while back from Laura off of here. Despite having never been to her house, I'm fairly sure Laura lives somewhere quite country side like, so upon picking the car up...
Got to say, I totally agree with Roy (for once).
When these came out they looked almost space aged, now they blend in nicely with other new models.
I'm not the biggest fan of the normal one, but the Type R looks so much more aggressive that I actually really like it. Also like the rare...
