IMO, get a thin case, the clip around the edges kind with a plain back, then use the velcro idea.
Means there's no permenant bit of velcro on the phone, and no twist lock etc.
They're cheap as chips for one without a name too.

Check the chassis number against the MOT etc.
If it's all clear, it's all good.
Some cars just aren't registered properly, it's not a big deal at all.
I'd go sony if possible, the build quality for a PC is actually half decent.
As said above, it's pretty much 100% build quality, the small spec differences won't be noticed by the every day user.

There's a library of models etc, some of which will be standard kitchen units, standard sizes.
All you have to do is survey your kitchen, bung those sizes into CAD and then import some standard units for size reference.
