That's way overpriced for a silver 172! It's the cheapest colour! lol.. £4k max. Keep looking dude, you'll find one. A lot of the Infero's (orange colour) are Cups and not Cup packed ones. Just something to keep an eye on as they're worth less.

I sold my D40 as I just wasn't using it. Sold all my kit.. Bag/remote/tripod etc. Then decided I wanted another SLR for a holiday and bought the D50 I have now from Chris. So glad I did. The upgrade/lens/money spending bug is expensive though and once it bites, you can't get away :(

I wouldn't. The money you'll save from selling the 182 will be wasted on the Williams. The owners still have a strangely inflated price guide they use, so the "best" ones will be £3k+. So lets say you get £6k for yours. You've got £3k to use to fix it, which will probably last a year if that...
