Re: MY CLIO 1.6 PROJECT
Cheers mate, I'm sure I'll grow out of the lights one day but quite like them at the moment :) and ideally I do want to spray the bumpers but the quotes I'm getting are stupid. I might just splash out a bit more and get a 172 bumper lol. Thanks for the positive...
Plus black matches the bumpers and sidestrips. Think they look quite good gloss black instead of colour coding them. Nice car :)
P.S. I'd invest in a dynamique / 172 spoiler, look much better and can pick them up from the scrappy for about a tenner :)
Here's mine as it stands at the moment:
If you've got any questions, they can probably be answered in my thread :) cheers

Sorry, I just meant sand them down :p and okay cool, I think that'd look quite good against the blue :) My dad sprayed my alloys as he used to spray cars for a living. Done a really good job tbh. I wouldn't dare try it myself because my attempt at spraying my rear wiper plate failed miserably :o...
Ahh nice one :) I would've thought it'd be best to mate. I've just carbon wrapped mine but if I were going to paint them: I'd flat them down, apply plastic primer, then spray paint :) what colour you going for, still black?
After owning them for about 2 months, I finally got round to fitting them :) Only got the one photo at the moment though.
The rear is about 55mm and front, 60mm. Been driving around my local area to test out the speedbumps and it gets over them fine... at about 3mph :clown:
I've got to say...
Re: MY CLIO 1.6 PROJECT
Hi guys, my ClioSport Saturday pack come through the other day :D Hopefully the car should be ready in a week or so :)
No idea where I'm going to put the sticker though, any ideas? :s
Was also driving along yesterday and noticed my mileage. Had to get a quick...
No worries pal, I'm not really sure how to take the door handles off as I haven't done that myself. As for the wheel diamonds, stick to blue, makes it stand out a bit more :)
Hi mate, I like the fk rear lights :) and in answer to your questions:
When sanding down your sidestrips, use 600 wet and dry paper, then move in to 800 and finally 1200 so the scratches are very fine. Then use plastic primer and give them 3 or 4 coats of spray paint when the primers dry. Leave...
Hi mate, good ideas but you desperately need some alloys. And an RS grill, makes so much difference!
My wind deflectors should be coming today, can't wait to fit them lol, do they make much diference in terms of sound? You know, when your windows open and you get that horrible blowing sound...
This is the guy I bought it from, he does loads of diferent sizes too, hope this helps :)

I colour coded my sidestrips the other week and have the same colour. Like what's already been said, it looks perfect in some lights but others it just looks plain silver instead of the bluey-silver it should be. I guess its just a hard colour to match :(
Notice on this last picture...
Re: MY CLIO 1.6 PROJECT
Thanks :approve: and yeah you should, it makes it more recognizable as a diamond instead of a black blob from a distance :p and alright then, thanks mate
Where did you get the yellow stickers from, I'm in the process of sanding down a spare set of bullets and this is what I wanted to do as well.
Oh yeah, I've carbon wrapped loads of stuff and its lasted over a year so far with no problems :) have a look on the first few pages of my project...
Ooh okay cheers, wasn't sure if it was Cup or Trophy spoiler that was for. Looks very good anyway, might have to treat myself to one if any become available :)
Re: MY CLIO 1.6 PROJECT
Ooh right okay, just use a Stanley knife to trim off any excess :)
Also booked car into the garage next week for the fitting of the coilies so they'll be ready for CSS!
Yeah I agree with Ashman1994. It's very easy to do and also quite cheap. You may as well try it yourself for a few quid then buy those covers if you don't like the look of it. Here's my front diamond:
Wow I thought mine were bad! :p Good job though mate, came up like new in the end :)
Not sure about the toothpaste though, why didn't you use a rubbing compound then normal polish after? At least you'll have that fresh breath smell when driving round :rasp:
Very nice mate, are those wheels the 16" sport ones? They seem to fill out the arches a lot better than mine. They'll look good in white though :)
Thinking about changing it for a black one as the anthracite one isn't that noticable.
