    have you had other quotes apart from the above 3? Might find one below £1k that's from a "reputable" (if any insurance companies are :rasp:) company.

    I'm with CIS. You are right, he is wrong lol. Although, some companies (can't remember off the top of my head) do accept named drivers no claims from other policies.. But as you have said he needs to be 19 before he can start earning NCB anyway.
