Hey Guys,
Taken clio off the road for a couple of days.
NSR wheel bearing has gone and isnt really safe to drive.
Also brakes aren't really all that at the moment either.
Anyway, i have a set of new rear discs (inc bearing) and pads at work, and i have my new Pagid RS Blue pads, HEL brake...
Which metro was it? The yellow one with a white door or the other one?
I didnt see it go off, i was just about to go on track when i came off, and the track got closed. It looked a right mess though, was apparently only a young lad too.
Yeah, my friends fiesta went very well indeed - was neck...
Thanks guys! Cheers for the comments :)
The exhaust is supposed to hang like that :) Yes, its got a trophy/v6 spoiler on it, i much prefer it tbh. Was yours the silver 200 there? Spotted that in the paddock.
Tbh, i did expect the main problem to be the pads - i haven't really rated them whilst i've had the car, i had Mintex 1144's on my last car, and they was superb.
Right where is the best place to get carbon lorraine pads from? And where can i get the fluid from?
Will upgrading brake lines be...
Discs are fine, they are Brembo HC's, pads admittedly were Green Stuff, but when i come to replacing them i want the best and want good performance out of them, and am prepared to replace other components at the same time, if its going to be worthwhile.
Would braided/SS pipes aid at all?
Guys,
Been to a track day today and after about 6/7 laps, my brakes suffer from alot of fade and started locking up with ease (and thats not because its a cup either).
Will be gain anything from putting dot 5.1 fluid in? And i hear about a different style of pipes, what advantages would this...
Mine has just had the front end resprayed to get rid of all the annoying stone chips, gonna get rear bumper done sometime soon too.
I wish i could make mine into concourse - but with it being a daily driver - that will never happen :(
I love mine - wouldnt sell it for any other clio, bar a Trophy or a Williams.
I am fortunate, that it doesnt come with the standard seats and has recaro's in there instead.
I <3 my cup!
Thanks everyone for the kind words, the car was a dream to drive around there.
The brakes on the other hand, the green stuff pads over cooked themselves after about 6/7 laps, time for some Ferodo DS2500's i think.
I wouldn't be able to do Bedford anyway, came out on DB meter at 101db's!
Went to Cadwell today, was two other Clio's there a birchdown decal'd up 172 (lardy) and a decal'd up 197.
Had a really really good day, weather was rubbish - but made the day so much more enjoyable!
Anyway, here are the pictures.
more to follow...
