well... i didnt do the WHOLE car.. but near enough everything, the bonnet paintwork is only 2 weeks old, so didnt do that, and i didnt do the roof (did everything else)
took me about 2 1/2 hours to clay and wax (but i was in a nice warm factory with tea on tape! :D)
The bodyshop in banbury called CarBody know my car very very well and are Excellent with the liquid yellow
I paid £550 for my bonnet/bumper/wings to be sprayed (paid in cash) just a few months ago
But i didnt put 2nd parts on my car..(i needed a new bumper/grill/headlamp) i would stick to...
Im so impressed :approve:
Quick Wash... and then some serious clay bar work... which was actually really nice and easy to use! i only used half my bar.
And then a nice covering of Wax.
Before... although the car looked clean.. close up, she was covered in tar:
And after... Liquid...
perfect ok.. i will go on the hunt for some AutoGlym extra gloss protection tomorrow then..
So its Wash
Clay
Polish
Wax..
And wax straight after polish?
well thats the question.. i have crap in my cleaning kit really... i have Autoglym Polish.. and some Turle wax - wax hehe
Maybe i should stop into halfrawds again in the morning
SNAP!! exactly how i wash mine.. but im a little anal, and wash every panel twice.. So i jet wash, wash with hot turtle wax (that stuff really foams up!) then jet wash, then wash again....
Tomorrow im going to clay bar for the first time.. eek, and ive bought a terry towel and some microfibre...
I did this a few months back and it took me around 4 hours to get the plates off and clean all the crap off...
SO much residue was left behind.. Renault had stuck them on with industrial sticky pads! hehe, but now there velcro'd on and are easily swapped with my show plates :)
Thankyou Thomss :)
