Re: Ph1 Mini Service & Clean
Find a breaker or sort bits separately! It's honestly not hard if you put your mind to it! Most random interior bits are impossible to sell so you can get them for peanuts!!!!
Just start collecting parts, then I'll answer all your questions as you go along :)...
Headlights look great (wish I could be bothered to do mine without a machine, but they're bad).
I also need to see Mick and get him to turn off all my airbag circuits! LOL
Sitting at a desk has no appeal to me, or many others I would assume. I work at a desk (when I'm there) all day.
Relaxing on the sofa/bed/big comfy chair with a laptop is a whole world apart from sat rigidly using a desktop.
Oh and 13" MBP is awesome if you're not worried about the screen :)
It's possible.
No where near as badly as fitting the coilovers, but slightly yes.
For me, get it to the height you like, drive it for a day or two to let it settle, then have the tracking done.
Yes, it's all down to tracking. Get it done somewhere ASAP, but make sure you're happy with the ride height first.
You can fit the wheel whenever you want, it won't affect tracking at all.
Have you got the spring sitting correctly in the "cup" at the top and bottom?
It's quite hard to get wrong.. take some pics if possible.
Top mounts sitting higher isn't the end of the world, but does say to me that something's not right.
Re: Ph1 Mini Service & Clean
I knew someone would notice, should have known it would have been you!!!
I have the ph2 item in a cupboard in the kitchen, just need to actually put it on!!!
You still going to ph2 dash yours?
Honestly, you're mental.
But thanks :)
Re: Ph1 Mini Service & Clean
LOL, cheers guys.
I have F1's, It's just silly to take these wheels off before I've made the most of these wonderful tyres.
Once the tyres are knackard, the wheels are offski.
You bought Karl's motor? Awesome choice. Such a steal too.
The highest my car will ever be from the floor unless at a garage...
I need to take some decent pics: :(
Re: Mini Service & Clean
Cheers chaps, should have got some better photos really, nevermind...
LOL! When I sell I'll give you a call ;)
I quite like the plates, going abroad with no messing around is nice, only reason I'd change it is if I went 3/4 height on the front.
Got some bits sorted on the Clio yesterday round at TheEvilGiraffe's place, unfortunately not the "clicking/ticking" noise I have....
Oil / oil filter change, two new balljoints, air filter clean and a full on wheels off clean.
Whilst I cracked on with taking s**t apart, other Rob took all the...
Had the whole car apart today, well not literally.. but anyway....
New balljoints on both sides, and there's NOTHING loose/wrong on that side.
It must be CV joint related I guess.
I need my tracking sorted so bad it's untrue, but I need to fit a new shaft first. Kill me. :(
I have taken the silver shims out recently... But they are ds2500's so not supposed to need them!
It doesn't sound like pads though, it's a very weird noise, one I've never heard from a car before.
That looks amazing mate, this whole thing looks amazing.
Where were the headlights from? Make SUCH a difference!!!
The boot makes me so jealous it hurts.
Oh, and price for the washer jets?
You can hear it inside the car mate, and I jacked it up a month or so ago and had a damn good look at that side, saw nothing.
Tried spinning the disc in my hand, no joy, I'll give it another look tomorrow and go for a drive with TEG to try to get a video.
This one is a pickle...
It's a real...
When this started, I had a damn good look over it, couldn't see anything. Couldn't replicate the noise with my hands either. It is linked to wheel movement, but it doesn't just do it once per rotation if you see what I mean?
As said, I'll take it apart tomorrow, if the gaitor is CV clipped, I...
It is a 1000% a clicking, no knocking.
It seems to not be relevant to wheel rotations, I.e if you're rolling backwards, sling it in first and accelerate it could click loads of times very quickly with no real "click per wheel turn" type thing?
Im giving it a good looking over tomorrow.
Cv...
Mainly when pulling off/changing direction?
I've been led to believe it's driveshaft (well CV joint) but could it be a wheel bearing?
Or something else entirely?
It's a very noticeable ticking, also happens at slow speed when coming on and off the thottle or hitting a bump?
All...
Why are you looking at campus'?????
They're the old shape, on a new plate, that look worse than the old shape.
Pick yourself up a 2003 dyanmique model or something, sure it'll have more miles and is a little older, but they're still very good cars and can be had for pennies!
Did I recommend you this place Mark or was it ENTIRELY fluke? If so, that's ridiculous!
Pics look awesome, did you find the mountain pass I was talking about? (Haven't read it all yet :o).
EDIT: Kirkstone pass, you did! I LOVED that road!!!!!!!!
