Live mapping is done on a dyno with the eeprom on the ecu been emulated by a pc where changes can be made in realtime.
I can fit you in this Sat if need be. Possibly a little earlier. We are in Leeds

Not north west but Leeds, give us a call for a price.
I'm not in at the moment but anyone can sort the price for you.

This one yes? Hmm dropped it?! Looks to me like a front ended clio behind. Be careful.

BBPT do some good kit however they DO NOT develop remaps and do not own the software to enable them to edit files for the ecu's. There are few companies in the UK that do this. Many people can offer a "remap" but at the end of the day they don't have a clue what is inside the small file they are...
The one and only time we fitted belt and no tensioners on request it went totally tits up and snapped the belt on roadtest. Due to a tensioner collapsing!
Needless to say even if people are tight we always do both!
Paul
Correct, fine for reading codes and getting live data but to dump the ecu you need to spend alot more money than a cheap elm323. Cheapest way would be for you to remove the chip and read with a programmer.

The rolling road we use in Halifax is one of the best on the market nicknamed the ego buster as it is so accurate and they charge £35 per car for 10+ i think

Shouldn't do no. did you change the tensioners? if not stop running it now as we once fitted a belt on a reasonably low milage tensioner and it locked and snapped the belt. Was also noisy!

The gains you would see are approx 7hp and 10lbft. It's not a diy upgrade but you could buy an ecu which would replace your existing one.
We can supply an ECU which was mapped ready to fit
PM Me for details
