It's telling you that it's time to fill up.
When these dashes come up, you're petrol light is on.
The car doesn't want to try to tell you exactly how many miles you have left, incase it gets it wrong, you break down, and blame Renault etc.
Just get yourself to a petrol station when or before...
Any idea when it came off? i.e have you noticed a load of grease over the inside of the wheel at any point?
If I were you, get yourself a tub/tube of molly grease ASAP, get a jubilee clip, get some more grease inside that joint and re-clip the bloody thing!
I'm glad my title could draw you in so effectively Dan.
Mr Duck, It had a new drivers side shaft about 9 months ago, which it turned out it didn't need, so I've got a spare drivers one lying around in the garage if I really need it.
So if I buy a telescopic magnet, gearbox funnel with a filter...
Well yes.. Sort of... The box side of things has to engage/disengage from things, so when pulling away in first the inner joint would surely experience more forces/friction than the cv joint? Which pretty much puts up with the same thing all the time, unless wheel spinning etc...
So either...
No difference, ever, just first gear, pull away hard. (It doesn't even do it when rolling in first, so if you pull of gently, then floor it, it's fine.)
Hi Roy, (this feels like an AA meeting)
CV joint? Affecting just first gear? Enlighten me?
This is EXACTLY what I wanted to hear...
I've just remembered the word I've been looking for it, the best way to describe it is a "Rumble" type sound/feeling
As Tunst says, I thought it would be in all gears if that was the case?
As much as I'd love to, I'm back bloody south now, things came up with work and I had to shoot back...
I use Vodafone for my mobile BB at work, I've got no data signal at all, it's running on old school GPRS as opposed to 3G, so yeah, definitely something up.
Once again I have me one of these threads (yay).
My car has been running like an utter dream since having the cambelt etc doing, but all of a sudden it seems to have gone to pot.
My passenger side CV joint seems to have died (clicking whilst pressing hard around right hand bends) and now...
FLOL Warren.
Why can't we have longer though?
I'm game for the dedicated grow... but my upper lip is slowest part of my beard growth, can I grow mutton chops instead?
