Front spring snapped on 172, what would you do?

Prolines, the tiniest bit lower, should help the handeling a bit, and won't compromise the ride.

172 Ownership and Distinct Lack of Progress.

Re: 172 Ownership and progress. Will it seems like you have an army of people offering to help you out.. :( I can't even get my top GB mount off. Dayum.

    Door damage

Car make/model/colour mate? I'm sure you'll find another door on eBay or on here

    Freshly cleaned :)

Not looking too bad at all mate. Personally I'd buy some black 15" alloys from somewhere, lower it, and leave it. The black front and back strips could look quite nice with the black wheels and break up the colour a bit. Other than that, new plates are you're away.

    Sir_Dave's Trophy. 1 x Miley Shed.

Re: Project 172k Trophy, & its endless track abuse Must say, the wheels are bang on for what you use it for. Looks mean as.

    Ph1 Renaultsport Clio - Valuation

No more than £1000 IMO. One month MOT looks awful, belts need doing, shabby body work...

172 Ownership and Distinct Lack of Progress.

Re: 172 Ownership and progress. Looks good Willdot, the ARB hang a bit low though doesn't it?

    172 cup project, ultraleggera content....

You get serious man point for the wheels, the engine, mental. It was you that wanted to borrow those wheels off me wasn't it? That would have been a sight to behold!

172 Ownership and Distinct Lack of Progress.

Re: 172 Ownership and progress. Paint them yourself Will, if you lived near me, I'd help, but I seriously hate doing it on my own, get bored/lonely. How's the ARB? Also, where's your mat from? Looks useful.

    Ph1 or ph2 rear?

    An interesting idea actually....

    Tunst's Pearl Black 172

Markie boy, the F1's don't look quite right because the car's now low enough, simples. Oh and they'd look a lot better clean!!!! Are there any more of those centre caps about? I'd kill for four. (I'll even have the o.z ones if they're not ruined). Fitting trophy dampers isn't a big job, just a...

    Front seat installation

You can actually take the seats out from inside the car, but that's another story. Keeps the runners etc in place too.

    GiraffeSport 172 Monaco

Like the plate, a lot. Just the Yozza and some Sportlines ;) left!!! You two and your lack of any real man tools other than spanners always does shock me ;)

    'Oil Ok' on trip computer

You need to press the stalk button once, and it's supposed to give you an indication of your oil level.

rear wheel bearing easy or hard ?

I was about to write what Danny did, with less accuracy and more swearing. On drums, I'd take it elsewhere, on discs, I'd just buy new complete discs.

    Filling gearbox

As long as it's on the level it's no need to worry. Most people tend to overfill them a little, so that's probably helped you out. As for how to fill it up, go on halfords website and type funnel, there's an orange one that is 100% perfect for the job, and it only costs a fiver.

    MOT with De-Cat??????

As you're new, I'd say your chances are less than 0. As I imagine you can understand, it may seem a little suspect. Better off just going around local garages asking.

    Shock Horror, Sir_Dave buys a Diseaseal ...

Great choice Dave, barr the engine obviously. ;) Bloody brilliant colour, and I love the seats. How much if you don't mind me asking? PM me if you wish. The sort of thing I'd consider as a company motor if I were to buy one from an allowance as opposed to getting an actual company car..

    GiraffeSport 172 Monaco

Over the ph2 box, I'd say so. Not over a ph1 box though Oh and Rob, MOT, sorted.

    Few new pictures

With the alloys and lowering.... Colour coding, a standard spoiler (or cup if you fancy splashing out) and an RS grille would make that a very tidy little car.

Gave to car a mini detail.

Looking very nice Luke. You big unsociable northerner you.

    Lowering springs

Any reason you don't want 60mm?? I think the numbers are greatly overrated if I'm totally honest. Everyone just thinks 60mm is some big slammed drop and it's really not.

    My new GTI

    Dunn's Black Phase 1 172

I've painted a set of f1's. It's not ideal, but it's not the worst thing in the world. As for a colour, ford gloss black is a bloody lovely colour. Proper dark and deep black.
