Re: 172 Ownership and progress.
Will it seems like you have an army of people offering to help you out.. :(
I can't even get my top GB mount off. Dayum.
Not looking too bad at all mate.
Personally I'd buy some black 15" alloys from somewhere, lower it, and leave it.
The black front and back strips could look quite nice with the black wheels and break up the colour a bit.
Other than that, new plates are you're away.
You get serious man point for the wheels, the engine, mental.
It was you that wanted to borrow those wheels off me wasn't it? That would have been a sight to behold!
Re: 172 Ownership and progress.
Paint them yourself Will, if you lived near me, I'd help, but I seriously hate doing it on my own, get bored/lonely.
How's the ARB? Also, where's your mat from? Looks useful.
Markie boy, the F1's don't look quite right because the car's now low enough, simples. Oh and they'd look a lot better clean!!!!
Are there any more of those centre caps about? I'd kill for four. (I'll even have the o.z ones if they're not ruined).
Fitting trophy dampers isn't a big job, just a...
Like the plate, a lot.
Just the Yozza and some Sportlines ;) left!!!
You two and your lack of any real man tools other than spanners always does shock me ;)
As long as it's on the level it's no need to worry.
Most people tend to overfill them a little, so that's probably helped you out.
As for how to fill it up, go on halfords website and type funnel, there's an orange one that is 100% perfect for the job, and it only costs a fiver.
As you're new, I'd say your chances are less than 0. As I imagine you can understand, it may seem a little suspect.
Better off just going around local garages asking.
Great choice Dave, barr the engine obviously. ;)
Bloody brilliant colour, and I love the seats.
How much if you don't mind me asking? PM me if you wish.
The sort of thing I'd consider as a company motor if I were to buy one from an allowance as opposed to getting an actual company car..
With the alloys and lowering.... Colour coding, a standard spoiler (or cup if you fancy splashing out) and an RS grille would make that a very tidy little car.
Any reason you don't want 60mm??
I think the numbers are greatly overrated if I'm totally honest.
Everyone just thinks 60mm is some big slammed drop and it's really not.
I've painted a set of f1's. It's not ideal, but it's not the worst thing in the world.
As for a colour, ford gloss black is a bloody lovely colour. Proper dark and deep black.
