Silver door mirror covers & losing the window things would improve it massively.

RS Turbo of some sort on the price you got for yours, unless you're adding extra to it, but even decent RS Turbo's ain't cheap. Minefield out there too!

I don't see the point of swapping it over tbh. You'd be much better off just getting the bumper & bonnet resprayed... plus when you come to sell it, you'll put off 99.9% of buyers.

Years ago, I did consider getting some dark blue leather Pole Positions to match the interior, some dude had them in an a TT & they looked ace (iirc they were out of a Porsche lol) They weren't cheap so I didn't bother.

Very nice, some phase 2 rear lights would look great on it (I hate the originals) leave the phase 2 /Trophy spoiler idea alone, they look a bit odd on a phase 1 imo.

If I thrash it, I can get it down to 22mpg on average, usually it's about 27, but when I drove it like a granny on the motorway once I got 35.

That black 90 spec XR3i in post #662 would look loads better without the RS turbo arches on it. I hated it when people fitted them on so that idiots who didn't know what they were looking at would think it was an RS Turbo. It needs a new front plate too.
