Was a bit confused when I saw this bumped, then realised I'd posted it in another thread! I loved the car journey, some epic roads into Epernay, and generally the 172 was a great car for it I think :) Although for the GF's sake, I made sure no car journeys were over 3 hours. lol!

Well, a while back I well and truly ruined one of my pretty painted o.z f1's.... I managed to source another wheel from a loyal CS'er but had no colour code or anything to match up against. After considering a lot of different options I decided to go for it and see what I could achieve anyway...

What mounts do you want? I'll have top gearbox and top engine by tomorrow. Discount on that gear knob?

Nice work mate, do the bushes need welding in like they do on the mk2? How's the uprated engine mount? Shake like f**k?

I like it, barr the fact you went orange again, bright blue would have been interesting. Really good work on the spraying though, do you do it by trade? A question, how much did all the kit cost you?

The ph2 sport rear end tidy's up the non sport's so much!

Cherry red, silver, or black. Yellow only really works on black, blue or silver car's IMO.

You have a FULL ph2 dash conversion Craig? I need to talk to you... please :) AC working and everything? Seeing all black f1's makes me want to cry, as much as I like the lip on mine, those look so damn nice!

That's a basic start to getting it looking very clean, and lets face it, it's no titanium gear knob ;) Wax will be a step towards protecting it, halfords do a set with the polish and wax in one, which is quite a good investment for a beginner.
