Attachments closest to the middle of the Plus system setup screen are what the gun starts with when you spawn. Then you can bring it up whilst playing to quickly switch stuff. (Assuming it's not just a bug you've got!)

I ended up watching a few YouTube videos when my mate was looking. Think there was one that could do 4k at 60hz and upscale 1080p to 1440 at a higher refresh rate. Not quite the full HDMI 2.1 experience but a decent balance I thought.
