The car looked so good I flyered it !! :D
If you've come on here (or anre on here already) what have you done to it ?
- for every one else, it looked to be a full on track prepped 182 cup, on phase1 172 alloys in amphasite, lots of stickers on it & a big white circle for the number to go...
Yep you have to struggle with the dipstick due to the position of it. If you feel where it is, remove it check the level etc, you should be ok. It is a bit annoying though.
Oil wise, I run the stuff the book says (I can't remember what grade it is though)
Check the oil with the car cold ! It's a complete ball ache to check, your best bet is to lean over the engine to do it, you will be able to get the dipstick back in, you may have to feel for the hole though.
You can probs do it from inside the car, but I've never done it that way.
I'd also...
I think that if it's as good as it sounds it's worth the asking (but if I wanted it, i'd still haggle though) decent ones are very hard to come by now.
AG seems to split the place down the middle, some like it, some don't.
Having seen one myself, i'm not keen on the colour at all. It's too 'washed out' imo, if it were a bolder more stronger green i'd like it.
As well as them covering you on it, it's always worth having it in writing on the policy. My ones from Elephant (when I was with them) didn't, until I asked for it to be added on to it.
To me & most other RS nutters a sapphire cos is still a cos, but it's over looked by the three doors (Sierras) and Escorts.
The sapphire has always been cheaper to buy second hand, they do hold their money too, but they aren't as 'sought after' as the ones I mentioned. They are still ok...
The reason that I like them sooo much is because of the amount of character that they have, not everyone who likes them is from Essex lol ! A lot of dudes on their 40's & 50's are madly into them.
For me it came about from the touring car series back in the late 80's when I was a kid seeing...
Just having a browse (at Cossie's etc) on PH as I often do when I saw these beauties !
This one to me, must be one of the very best out there. It's lovely !

This one, i've seen around before. I hate the wheels on it though, plus the write up...
