Pads are pretty easy to wash. Tip: to dry, put the pad on your polisher, hold it at arms length (in the garden) and switch on. Dry in seconds :D

Exactly that. I was very methodical in the application but as soon as the C1.5 wore off there seemed to be nothing there, and it didn't hold up very well against bird s**t. There was also the 'water spotting' problem which some others have experienced.

I'm not sure what to do yet either. The original plan was a semi permenant sealant (until I was left unimpressed by C1+ on the bonnet). Now I might just leave the machine polish until spring time and give a normal protection detail of some kind.

You're right, but is it a healthy profit marign or rip off? The latter might be viewed as insult to their customer base. No one but K-tec will know the figures but it's pretty easy to judge (rightly OR wrongly) for yourself given the evidence.

I don't think people doubt the effectiveness of it, I think it's mark-up which has them rattled.
