    its just the maker's logo. The models are Rare as f**k, there are some that come with the Renault Dealership style sign in place of it but they are even rarer.

    its for raising/lowering the headlights, the one to the left of it is for dimming the dash lights. The 172s/182s don't have it as its done automatically by the car.

    thats correct, just got to make sure you do it with the key in the ignition position, but with the engine not running.

    if the looms not there mate then it isn't going to be easy. Mileage is stored on each dialset to, not the ECU.
