Good clean of the throttle body seem to have sorted them problem for now, result :) I'll try cleaning up an old one when I get it, if it comes up well, I'll fit that.

Thing is mate, if its just the solenoid, why can I sometimes randomly lock it by holding down the lock button inside the car? I think it may have something to do with the mech the solenoid triggers, ah well, guess I'll find out again, the mech the solenoid triggers will be the same on any...

I'm not totally sure if they have "bigger handles" without elec windows, as my original clio was retro fitted with them, and they had tiny little grab handles. Electrics is literally this simple.... Get 1x ignition live into each door, from cigarette lighter is a good choice. Split this...

Oh and in answer to your original question, no it doesnt look THAT out of place. Its not glaringly obvious, I had it like it for a month or so.

I've had a little search people seem to suggest taking door card off etc and checking connection to the solenoid. I hope its as simple as this... Although I hate taking the door cards off etc. :(

It has a carbon BMC CDA, I'll take it all off tmrw with mike, clean out the samco bend totally, check the filter isn't fubar'd and then clean the TB.

None at all mate, as the locking mech is on the end of the door, not near any wires, thing is, (see my latest thread on it) if i HOLD DOWN the central locking button inside the car, it eventually locks/unlocks, but the key won't do it. I can both unlock and lock the door this way, but when...

Ok so I still have a problem with my passenger door.... it wouldnt open from the outside, now it turns out the central locking basically won't work to that side... but that not the funny thing... It seems as though when using the key, the central locking will not activate on that door??? I...

1x switch 1x fuse 2x battery/earth connection's 1x lenth of wire 1x connecting loom (if you dont have it, not the end of the world)

It probably wouldnt do much, if you post some pics to give me an idea of how fucked they are, I'll try advise you what's best to do now... lol!
