Its not poo etching (well if its what mine is) I've never seen anything like it tbh, looks like a blob of wd40 or similar? But a good rub with a damp cloth today saw most of mine come off, just need to do the rest (this was my lunch break) lol
How funny, I have a ph1 cherry red (kinda like flame) and noticed I have one of these on the wing today, its stubborn but it does come out if you just rub at it a lot! The ones on you're roof should polish out alright!
Bloody good work so far, higher resolution pictures needed. Keep us updated!!
Do you think the results would be so easy to achieve by hand? Or EXTREMELY difficult?
Any particular ones better than others? I imagin there is probably something better and cheap than whats made by Renault! lol!
Are they much better/easier for keying up a surface that has no damage then?
Its totally fine tbh, speedometers are not actually part of the MOT so you could pass one with out a speedo, you only need the dash for warning lights.
Don't be a pansy!
Everyone always talks about using these to prep things, rather than a fine wet and dry paper, just wonder what they are? After google'ing I've found this thing that resembles a washing up sponge, but surely that can't be right?!?!
Are they really ok for prepping something to paint? (something...
Cheers, I wasnt looking for a spray version of the mask, just asking if the mask is durable enough to spray onto, or whether painting was preferable as it causes less pressure. (I thought spray would have more chance of forcing its way down the cracks where you've cut.
I'll have a go at some...
After seeing your pics with your mates pug, I thought the car was quite nice, but in those top pics it looks bloody beautiful!
What direction are you going with it?
^^ that did make me laugh, a lot.
I think the general consesus is that the back should go a bit higher to match the front, or if you really want, drop the front right down too with some custom springs or similar.
A level car looks good, and most importantly, deliberate, a car where you could...
^Damn right!
You could always make a 172 haynes or a "172 Fred's" and sell it on here! Nice little earner! lol!
Did it tonight, gotta say, i had a look at a friends newer clio, and it was A LOT more visible than on mine, was VERY well hidden for some reason? LOL.
Thanks for all the help...
If you think your other products are selling well, wait until you manage to get a drive in/out service on this! I think you'll be minted!!! LOL!
Although I actually felt myself die a little inside when I read it wasnt ph1 compatiable....
Or is it possible to put the ph2 hub on the ph1...
Is there any chance I could have one of them too? (If you have one?) I managed to break one of the little pins and its a real b**ch to get a good connection without one?
Alternatively, James28 would you post me yours? I'm sure I could clean up one silver connector!
Standard colour? Or will you have to spray/have another one sprayed?
I have one fully prepped with one layer of random silver paint on it laying about.
